Our background

What happens when you combine careers in property, construction and boat building? You start a boat building company, naturally.

After a visit to The Crick Boat Show in 2021, we put our heads together and created a WhatsApp group affectionately titled ‘Let’s build a boat’. And then we got to work. We knew that with our respective backgrounds, we could create a truly unique boatbuilding business that blew all of the competition out of the water. Not literally. We’re actually very nice people.

Our expertise

A few months later and we had already picked up 2nd place at the Crick Boat Show 2022, showcasing The Calveley: a 60ft x 12ft 6 reverse layout with 2 bedrooms, finished to a high spec with Amtico flooring, remotely controlled heating, 4G Wi-Fi and more.

The Bespoke Boat Co. team now boasts a range of marine specialist insulators, electricians, painters and fitters, all managed under the watchful eye of our master craftsman, Darren.

How it works

Visit our workshop.

Give us a call and arrange a visit. We’ll sit down over a brew and spend several hours understanding more about you, your personality, your style, your needs, and your goals. This part is crucial and ensures that we can build a vessel that is the truest reflection of you.

Planning, design and preparation.

Once we have all the information we need, we’ll design a unique concept that combines all of your practical needs with all of your design requirements. We’ll present this to you to make sure you’re completely happy before we get to work.

Sourcing and building.

Once we have the green light, we’ll get the work on the material sourcing and construction elements. The whole process takes between 8-12 weeks to complete, or around 1200 hours in old money.

The big day.

We’ll let you know when your new vessel is ready to be unveiled. We’ll walk you through every detail and feature to make sure you are completely happy, and then hand it over to you to head off into the sunset!
